English & German language tutor

My name is Ekaterina Iakusheva and I am a professional conference interpreter, translator and language specialist based in Germany.

I have been tutoring English and German privately for the past 8 years. My extensive international experience and numerous academic stays abroad have enabled me to approach the fluency of a native-speaker.

I have an IELTS language certificate recognised worldwide
(Band 8.5 out of 9), TestDaf and Goethe Zertifikat C2. So I can also help my students prepare for IELTS, TOEFL, CAE, Goethe, TestDaf and other international exams.

My background:
I graduated from Leipzig University (M.A. in conference interpreting - simultaneous and consecutive interpreting), had an academic stay at Tübingen University (exchange program) and graduated from MGIMO-University (B.A. in international economic relations). Therefore, I also tutor Business English/German and Commercial Correspondence.

I base my lessons on a mixture of methods and approaches to meet the different needs of learners and help them accomplish their goals.

Whether you have trouble understanding the grammar, writing essays or communicating with native speakers, etc., I ensure the methods I choose are appropriate for each particular task, context and learner.
